An example of a Screenplay

As you jump into your first Mini-Film Project, you might be wondering how you should approach it. Specifically how you should think through the storytelling of it.  We're just going to quickly walk through three options you can use:

  1. Storyboard: A visual representation of a film sequence and breaks down the action into individual panels. It is a series of ordered drawings, with camera direction, dialogue, or other pertinent details. It sketches out how a video will unfold, shot by shot. For more information and examples, click here.
  2. Shot List: A document that maps out everything that will  happen in a scene of a film, or video, by describing each shot within that film or video. It serves as a kind of checklist, providing the project with a sense of direction and preparedness for the film crew. For more information and examples, click here.
  3. Script: This is probably what you thought of first. This website does a nice job in outlining the different components of a screenplay. Also, a screenplay looks a certain way. They break down how to set it up, or you can use Celtx.
Of course, these things are not necessary, but might be helpful in telling your story.
